Akshay Kumar announces release date of Bell Bottom
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his upcoming film Bell Bottom. Akshay on Tuesday through his social media handle shared the details about the release of his upcoming film. As per the new government guidelines the movie will be released in theatres with 50 % capacity and following all COVID-19 protocols.
Sharing the release date with an exciting short teaser, Akshay wrote, “I know you have patiently waited for #Bellbottom! Couldn’t be happier to finally announce the release of our film. The movie is directed by Ranjit M Tewari under the banner Pooja Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment. It stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. Bell Bottom was earlier supposed to release in April 2021 but due to second wave of COVID-19 pandemic the releasing date was postponed and the maker felt it is better to wait until the situation gets better.
The film was shot during the pandemic in London. Sharing a picture after the film’s wrap-up, actor wrote, “Mission accomplished! After a long but fruitful schedule, grateful to have shot and completed #Bellbottom during the pandemic! Now it’s time to head back #JetSetGo”

Action spy thriller film Bell Bottom is based on untold true story during the 1980s. The story is based on a plan made to hijack a commercial airplane. Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the role of patriotic spy in the film solving the case related to the hijack. Actress Lara Dutta will be seen playing the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
