Salaar takes a relatively strong opening, inspite of Dunki

Indian cinema star Prabhas is back in action with the release of Salaar: Part I – Ceasefire. The action drama, directed by Prashanth Neel, stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles, with Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy in supporting roles.

The film is set in the fictional city of Khansaar and follows the story of Deva and Vardha, played by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, respectively. Salaar has been released in five languages — Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

The film has received an A certification (Adults only) from the Central Board of Film Certification. Despite facing tough competition from Rajkumar Hirani’s SRK film Dunki, Salaar continues to assert its dominance at the box office and is on track to cross the Rs 40 crore mark.

The film is expected to record an opening day collection of more than ₹48 crore. Fans are eagerly awaiting the action entertainer, and the film has started witnessing outstanding advance bookings for Sunday, having already earned Rs 12.76 crore, with over 6 lakh tickets sold nationwide. Salaar has taken a relatively strong opening, inspite of clashing with SRK’s film Dunki.
