Aamir Khan marries for the third time in private Mumbai wedding
Actor Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt in an intimate registered ceremony at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on July 5. The wedding was attended by close family and friends and marks Aamir’s third marriage.
Aamir’s 15-year-old son Azad Rao Khan, from his marriage to Kiran Rao, and Gauri’s son Quinn, from her previous marriage, served as ring bearers during the ceremony. The children were seen holding ring boxes as the couple completed the wedding formalities.
A video shared by former cricketer Irfan Pathan showed Aamir’s other children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan clapping as their father took Gauri as his wife. The celebrations continued with Aamir dancing with his bride as filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and politician Raj Thackeray cheered them on.
The first photograph released from the wedding showed Aamir signing the marriage papers with Gauri seated beside him. His mother Zeenat Hussain was also present in the family picture. Gauri wore an embroidered ivory ensemble with statement jewellery for the ceremony, while Aamir wore a white kurta accessorised with a brooch.
The close-knit celebration was also attended by Aamir’s son-in-law Nupur Shikhare, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, actor Elli AvrRam and members of the Ambani family.
Aamir and Gauri have known each other for more than 25 years but became romantically involved only in recent years. Gauri has worked in the fashion and beauty industry and has also been associated with Aamir Khan Productions.
This is Aamir’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002 and to Kiran Rao from 2005 to 2021.
A day after the wedding, Aamir and Gauri made their first public appearance as a married couple outside his residence as they saw off their guests.
